Summary

At the Red Dot ceremony, we celebrated our 5 winning projects that swept this one of the world’s prestigious design awards.

Five cases out of seven by Lazarev.agency received red dots in the "Brands and Communication Design" category. It was our very first-time taking part in the contest. And we're so honored for such recognition and excited to walk you through each award-winning project.

What is Red Dot Design Award

It's one of the world's most reputable design awards creatives can win for outstanding quality and exceptional achievements in design. Among renowned companies that received it are Apple, Google, Sony, and Xiaomi.

This year it's Lazarev. agency that got red dots. To celebrate such success, our team attended the Red Dot Gala in Berlin on October 28, 2022.

Red Dot winners

1. Inertia Wheels MAX by NODO

The dynamic landing page won in the "Corporate & Business Websites" subcategory.

Inertia Wheels MAX — is the breakthrough in modern cinematography. It’s the first wireless camera control system with inertia wheels. This type of technology was previously available in military applications, but the NODO team reimagined it and offered a new solution in filmmaking.

We designed an interactive promotional website leveraging 3D models of the product. It allowed us to showcase every detail of the wheels and empower people to feel their cutting-edge nature even through the screen.

While working on the project, we put all of our efforts into highlighting the products' innovativeness with out-of-the-box design solutions without going overboard with accents. Thanks to the team's expertise and excellent coordination, we managed to implement the site, which caused a sensation at the product presentation. So proud!

2. The 11Sight

Website redesign for the US SaaS company received an award in the "Corporate & Business Websites" subcategory.

11Sight — is a marketing and sales platform that helps start video calls between potential clients and company representatives in just one click. For the website redesign, we went for a powerful combination of storytelling, technical content, and animation that convey the product's innovative core.

The main challenge was to rethink the platform's capabilities and create a new vision of its functionality to convey the product's value for businesses.

3. Vessel Finance

An interface design for a Danish client Boel IT, got an award in the "Finance Apps" subcategory.

Vessel Finance — is highly specialized software for modeling of ship investments. The Lazarev.agency team visualized complex financial data on a clear interface and simplified the processes of filling in parameters and calculating capital costs.

The prime challenge was that the previous version was based on table calculations, and a vast amount of unstructured information, and a complete lack of a visual part, didn't provide users with a seamless experience. Our design turned out to be light, modern, and minimalistic, combining a great deal of data and interactivity. Every step of the way, users are accompanied by a ship's model, which changes depending on the data and empowers people to immerse even more in the process.

4. UkrainianPower

It's our own project, Lazarev. team worked on. A digital directory of independent Ukrainian agencies won an award in the "Collaborative Platforms, Websites" subcategory.

Ukrainian Power is an interactive showcase that unites the country's best creative forces of various specializations that were left with little to no local clients due to the full-scale russian war. The infinitive calls on foreign businesses to partner with Ukrainian talent.

We based our content strategy and design on emotional storytelling. That’s why the website connects with the international community on an emotional level and motivates it to partner with Ukrainian agencies.

5. The Lazarev.agency's website

Our own corporate site won an award in the "Corporate & Business Websites" subcategory.

The Lazarev. website serves as a reception to give its visitors an idea of what we're doing and how we're approaching our projects, walking them through our team, cases, core mission, and principles.

Our task was to create cool storytelling that would encourage users to read it to the end but also not distract their attention from the agency's case studies. Leveraging interactive motion design, we united all web pages with a common theme. The grid with a fixed button catches site visitors' eyes, and the universal typography will stay relevant for a long time to come.

Instead of conclusion

We're extremely fortunate to do what we love the most and be recognized for that. The Red Dot award is a massive milestone for us but definitely not the final destination. Lazarev. is an ever-evolving endeavor as the design itself. There's so much to explore and create, and we couldn't be more excited about it.
